01 The Scouting Snapshot

Why Jana

01

An elite bat

A .556 / .631 / .870 slash line in 2026 and a .446 career average across 117 league games, consistent, not a one-season spike.

02

Game-changing speed

14 stolen bases in 17 games in 2026 and 58 for her career, exceptional speed for a catcher.

03

A cannon behind the plate

A 1.83 pop time to second and 63 mph overhand, 14 runners thrown out against just 11 steals allowed (127%) in 2026, backpicks included, with a .970 fielding percentage and one passed ball.

04

Disciplined & battle-tested

More career walks (43) than strikeouts (35), a double season in two countries since 17, and Germany caps since 2019.

Postseason & Finals

Her postseason record

Jana's game film comes from finals, a State Cup grand slam, a championship-winning run, and German Cup-final winning runs. In the 2025 play-offs she hit .545 with 7 RBI in three games.

About Jana

Jana Sistig portrait

I have played softball since I was six, starting with the Wesseling Vermins. Since 2019 I have represented Germany, U16, then U18, U22 (2024) and the Women's National Team (2025).

At 17 I joined the Tex Town Tigers in the top Dutch league. For over two years I have played a double season, competing in both the German and Dutch Bundesliga every weekend.

In 2024 I earned my Abitur at a sports school in Bonn, having moved into a sports boarding school at 17 to combine elite athletics with academics.

Softball is my life, and I am ready to bring that work ethic to a U.S. college program.
